Japanese modders have done a lot.
But I don't understand the process.

At least it's possible, for those that want to challenge themselves.

About importing characters

Importing a character isn't hard...it's just trying to import a character and have it ready to dance that can be very difficult.

PP Files

Outlines PP files

Characolle uses a 2-digit number to identify each game, in the order they are added
For now, Alicesoft is 00, BaseSon is 01, Key is 02, Lump of sugar is 03.

They are the first set of numbers in the PP. That is all they are for.

Dancer modding attempt

Loaded up the dancer for the first time. Noted a few things immediately:

1: only two head types - seems like the lst edit for the poser doesn't work for the dancer
2: custom-imported Mashiro body and head works
3: custom-imported Viara body type crashed

Well, I didn't expect Viara to load properly, but this gives some clues already

Importing custom models

Contrary to all of the "unmoddable" claims, I decided to import Viara into characolle poser. I will eventually look at the dancer.

I haven't looked at how to use the poser at all, so I don't know how to make poses yet, but here's what I did:

Loading custom models

The client loads only two pp files for model information: cc##_00_00_00 and cc##_00_00_01
This means you are limited to 6 model files.

However, each model can load different bodies and heads.
By changing the lst files that define which body and head to load, you can load different models.
Effectively, you can load an unlimited number of models using this method.
